RFP from the City of Eden Prairie - Workforce Housing & Innovation Center

City of Eden Prairie, MN announces Request for Proposals (RFP) for a workforce housing and innovation center mixed-use development. The City is seeking proposals from qualified developers to purchase and develop a 3.97-acre parcel that the City is acquiring from Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). The intent is to creation a mixed-use development that integrates housing, retail, and office uses within the same structure with first level co-working/shared office space and supporting uses such as micro-brewery/taproom, distillery, coffee shop or café. Upper levels include rental housing with a minimum of 20% of the total units Workforce units and affordable to persons with incomes at or below 50% of the Metro median. The overall intent is to provide the community with a unique asset that integrates workforce housing with a space that promotes collaboration, attracts entrepreneurs and start-up companies, and nurtures innovation.
A pre-proposal Q & A meeting will be held Friday September 7th at 11.00 am at Eden Prairie City Offices Heritage Rooms.
