- This position is eligible for a hybrid (both remote and onsite) telework arrangement. Candidate’s permanent residence must be in Minnesota or Wisconsin.

The Metropolitan Council is seeking to hire a full-time Senior Real Estate Specialist. The best-qualified candidate will possess a combination of the following:
- Real estate background
- Experience coordinating and participating in negotiations for the acquisition and disposal of real property
- Experience in market research and valuations
- Experience making recommendations regarding real estate issues
- Strong project management
- Experience working with public agencies and condemnation

About the position: The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Minnesota real estate property requirements. They will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, utilizing these skills to negotiate with diverse property owners to acquire and dispose of both small and large properties. A solid understanding and ability to assess impacts of Federal and State regulations, rules, and laws on the real estate process, with excellent experience, to identify key areas of concern. Proven expertise in recommending practical and feasible solutions that meet customer needs while adhering to our Council values and stakeholders’ interests, with strong knowledge and experience in reviewing and interpreting real estate documents. Collaborate with project managers, oversee real estate consultants, and assume the lead for other related duties.
