Check out the “Singing Mayors” from MinnRoast 2017!

On Friday, April 28th, MinnPost held its annual MinnRoast event at the State Theatre in Minneapolis. Among the many featured performers were eight suburban mayors singing “We’ve Been Governing the Suburbs,” a parody of the famous folk song “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad.”

These mayors are also members of the Regional Council of Mayors. Here’s the full list of performers who graced the MinnRoast stage:

  • Mayor Jim Hovland, City of Edina and RCM Co-chair
  • Mayor Mary Giuliani Stephens, City of Woodbury and RCM Co-chair
  • Mayor Denny Laufenburger, City of Chanhassen
  • Mayor Elizabeth Kautz, City of Burnsville
  • Mayor Gene Winstead, City of Bloomington
  • Mayor Jake Spano, City of St. Louis Park
  • Mayor Mike Maguire, City of Eagan
  • Mayor Molly Cummings, City of Hopkins
