Tools to Navigate the Changing Real Estate World: Repositioning Existing Projects, Innovative Funding Solutions, and Cost-Saving Strategies
ULI Minnesota is pleased to introduce Megan Flanagan as our newly appointed Executive Director! In this role, Megan will lead the Minnesota District Council, implementing programs and strategies aligned with our members’ priorities related to responsible land use and thriving communities. Megan officially joined us on June 27.
Bringing a wealth of experience in managing member-driven associations, Megan most recently served as a senior account executive at The Harrington Company, overseeing the Institute of Real Estate Management – Minnesota Chapter (IREM). Complementing her deep professional background with volunteer-led organizations, she volunteers her time as board chair of the Eagan Community Foundation, which supports scholarships and community initiatives.
Throughout an extensive Executive Director search process, the ULI Minnesota District Council leadership team, consisting of our Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Chair of Mission Advancement, and past Chairs, worked closely with ULI’s national leadership to identify the ideal candidate. The selection team evaluated each potential candidate based on attributes and core competencies deemed crucial by the ULI Minnesota staff and Management Committee.
We sought a new Executive Director who could facilitate meaningful engagement opportunities for both new and existing ULI members, champion initiatives fostering racial equity in our community and throughout the ULI organization, collaborate effectively, provide mentorship, and demonstrate expertise in building and nurturing community partnerships within the built environment.
Megan demonstrated exceptional capability in fulfilling these criteria, alongside her genuine passion for supporting leaders at any stage of their journey. The selection team was particularly impressed by her ability to assemble teams of volunteers and staff, leveraging their individual talents.
As ULI Minnesota continues to prioritize impactful programs and enrich the member experience while we work together to improve the built environment, we are thrilled to have Megan join our team. Her guidance and efforts bolster our ability to serve you, our valued members. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Megan as she becomes an integral part of our ULI Minnesota network!
