After you’ve gained valuable knowledge and experience in the real estate and land use community, how can you give back?
When I look at the work of ULI, what I am most proud of is how our members step up to give back to their communities. ULI has never been only about your own career, your own leadership development, your own relationships. While we hope for a chance for each of us to grow in all of these dimensions, at ULI we also come together for an opportunity to bring our professional talents to serve and advance our community.
ULI Minnesota offers many ways to share your time, expertise, and leadership to help make the world’s cities and communities better – investing in high school students through UrbanPlan, advancing equity and opportunity through REDi, advising local communities through workshops and advisory panels. Thousands of hours are given by our members every year.
Whether you have a few hours or can make a multi-month commitment, we invite you to join other local leaders in giving the gift of your time and talent. Below, we’ve highlighted a few of the ways we are serving our community now. If you are interested in learning more about any of these, please reach out to our member co-chairs or our staff team to talk about how to get involved.

Lake Street Rebuilding
ULI is partnering with Lake Street Council to pilot personalized advisory services for business and property owners along the Lake Street corridor who suffered losses during the civil unrest following the death of George Floyd this past summer. Offer your expertise in development, leasing, and other real estate fields to help local businesses rebuild and foster community-minded redevelopment.
